FRANCE - CIRCA 1900: Gypsy Feast in Saintes Maries De La Mer, Camargue, France - Bouches du Rhone, regional natural park of Camargue, Saintes Maries de la Mer, pilgrimage of the Gypsies on the 24th to 25th of May with the holy Jacobe Marys and Salome and also celebrated as the patron saint of Gypsies, the Black Madonna Holy Sarah. The first two pilgrimages are historically very old and suggest Christian tradition, that of the landing of the first Christians on the shores of the Camargue.
