Golden Dome of the Rock and the al-Aqsa Mosque is visible on the Temple Mount platform (known in Arabic as Haram esh-Sharif). The Temple Mount (biblical Mount Moria, the site of Solomon's and Herod's temples built over the threshing floor) is a holy place for Muslims, Jews and Christians. The Old City of Jerusalem and its walls are a World Heritage Site (UNESCO World Heritage List, 1981). The Golden Gate can be seen in the Eastern Wall on the right hand side, above the Kidron Valley (the Valley of Judgment). Church of the Holy Sepulchre and the Hurva Synagogue are visible in the background.
