Darwin, Australia - June 5, 2025: Aerial view Aurizon intermodal freight with locomotives GWU012 & ALF22 waiting in the Darwin Rail Freight Terminal as loading and checks are completed before it makes it's long (3000km, 1850 mile) journey south to Adelaide in South Australia. Along the way it will make possible stops in Katherine, Tennant Creek and Alice Springs to provide rail service to customers. A B-double fuel tanker departs the terminal in the foreground and next to the train is shunt engine 2212 used in the construction of the Alice Springs to Darwin railway line. In the background is the Darwin skyline with the city centre some 20km (13 miles) away across the bay and the mangrove habitat.
