NINEVEH PROVINCE, REGIONAL GOVERNMENT OF KURDISTAN, IRAQ - 2015: on the road toward Mont Shingal (Sinjar in arabic), Nineveh Province, Regional Government of Kurdistan-Iraq. Sinjar was the scene of many battles since the city was taken by the Islamic State organization on august 3rd 2014 causing the escape of more than 20 000 Yazidi refugees toward Kurdistan mountains. On November 13, 2015, the city was taken back from the hands of the Islamic State organization mainly by kurdish forces with the support of international coalition.
