Joe Shoemaker took the easy route Thursday by using a golf cart to inspect the eight-mile completed stretch of the Platte River Development Project. Inspection began at 31st Street and continued to about Virginia Avenue. Shoemaker is chair-man of Platte River Development Committee which is restoring the river and adjoining land. Project includes canoe chutes, a bike-hike path and network of parks and picnic areas.
