Land containing rainforest is being cleared by means of fire on the island of Ko Lanta, Krabi, Thailand. The island is expanding and many areas and ecosystems are being destroyed and cleared, to make way for construction of houses and resorts. There is much conflict between human progress and wildlife habitat loss. Here we see the flames rising with thick smoke rising above.
