(Original Caption) Here is the action that brought the customers to their feet in the second inning of the Brooklyn Dodgers-New York Giants game at Ebbets field today. Robinson was on third. Campanella hit a fly to a few feet behind first base to Gilbert. Robinson took off from third with the catch and you see him at left, cap flying off, about to kick into his slide for home. At right, he has arrived and Giant catcher Westrum is the frustrated man in prayerful attitude taking the throw from Gilbert. Warneke is the umpire calling the play.
