However so many showed up that the march was canceled, but three separate marches took place anyway, and without permits. More than 500,000 Women's March participants marched in the streets of Washington for over five hours to protest against Donald Trump and his incoming administration. The march did not begin as planned because there were too many participants, so the march broke off into three marches. Protesters in over 60 countries joined the protesters by protesting against Trump during marches in their own cities.
