Connecticut Senator Richard Blumenthal says during a Senate Judiciary Committee business meeting during arguments over whether to report the Supreme Court nomination of Seventh Circuit Judge Amy Coney Barrett that he wish he had a nickel for every time he had heard the term elections have consequences, all new that but what was seen was an exercise of raw political power, Republicans removing it with the nomination but might does not make right in the American people elected senators to do what they thought was right but the action was not normal, so real people would eventually judge senators, history will haunt the raw exercise of political power that threatens to strike down protection for people with preexisting healthcare conditions including Covid 19 as well as heart disease, asthma and cancer, about half of all Americans including at least half of those in Connecticut whose lives are at stake.
