Netherlands: Orca Dies After Being Stranded On Cadzand Beach In Zeeland

An orca was stranded on a beach in Cadzand, Zeeland on Saturday, October 15. The Royal Dutch Rescue Society (KNRM) pushed the 5.5-meter-long whale back into the sea, but it washed up again hours later. Another attempt to help the animal was discontinued after experts sent to examine it said it was too weak and in a critical condition. It was given anesthesia and died soon after.
