(Original Caption) With President Charles de Gaulle returned to France, disturbances and demonstrations in Algiers are becoming less common. here, citizens go quietly about their business at the entrance to the Casbah, December 16th. On December 20th De Gaulle was expected to give the nation his first reaction to the blood shed which marked his five-day Algerian visit. He was scheduled to go on the air with his second major address to the nation on Algeria in six weeks.
