(Original Caption) Using His Head...A camera mounted on his crash helmet enables St. Louis, Mo., test pilot Gerald Huelsbeck to make movies without using his hands. It was ticklish business taking his hands off the controls of jet aircraft to operate a camera in the regular manner. So Huelsbeck, who tests jets for McDonnell Aircraft Corp., rigged up the modified gun camera on his helmet. A piece of lead on the other side compensates for the extra weight. To take pictures with the electronically-operated camera, Huelsbeck merely turns his head toward the subject, usually another plane being tested.
