BRUSSELS, BELGIUM - MAY 23: The Eurostar train to London Saint Pancras is leaving Gare Du Midi station on May 23, 2023 in Brussels, Belgium. Gare Du Midi or Bruxelles-Midi as it is commonly known was inaugurated on 18 May 1840. With over 250,000 passengers a week, it is the second largest station in Belgium in terms of passenger numbers, behind only Brussels-Central, yet it is the largest station on the Belgian rail network and one of the main hubs for domestic trains and the station of choice for most international trains (Thalys, Eurostar, TGV, ICE, Intercity) to Germany, France, the Netherlands, Luxembourg and the United Kingdom.
