(Original Caption) Snow makers tell how its done in New York, at the 17 annual meeting of the Institute of the Aeronautical sciences, Dr. Vincent J. Schaefer, of the General electric research laboratory & Dr. Irving Leangmuir, Associate Director of the G.E. Laboratory, explain "Operation Cirrus" to fellow-scientists. This operation was an experiment performed by Schaefer & Schaefer, in which they bombed clouds with dry ice & cut 20 mile long.
