Dancing Girls Welcoming Prince Norodom

(Original Caption) Prince Norodom Sihanouk, exiled Cambodian head of state, returned to Peking today from a two month tour of Africa and Eastern Europe and declared that his supporters in Cambodia would continue "armed resistance" until "1984" if necessary. Asked if he would be willing to meet with United States presidential advisor Henry Kissinger when he visits the Chinese capital later this month, Sihanouk declared "Absolutely not. There is nothing to talk about." It was Sihanouk's finest hour since the 50-year-old prince was overthrown in March 1970 and arrived in Peking to set up a rival regime backed by North Vietnam and China. Premier Chou En-lai and other top Chinese leaders turned out at Peking Airport to give Sihanouk a rousing welcome with dancing girls clad in costumes of China's various minority nationalities.
