(Original Caption) 9/28/1979-Hollywood, CA: A nervous Elton John- bald spot covered with a thin layer of transplanted hair, outrageous glasses replaced with contact lenses, and feathered, sequined outfit replaced with a rumpled yellow suit -performs his one-man show 9/25 as he opens his sold-out gig at the Universal Ampitheater. During his performance 9/27, Elton collapsed. He returned a short time later however and blamed the fainting spell on a bad dose of the flu.
