Northern Philippines Under Lockdown As The Coronavirus Continue To Spread

The Philippine government on Monday expanded its lockdown from capital Manila to the whole of Luzon, the largest and most populous island in the country, to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Government work, schools, businesses, and public transportation have been ordered shut in a bid to keep some 55 million people at home, while trading at the Philippine stock exchange has been suspended indefinitely.
