Pressure Grows On Merkel Over NSA And BND Cooperation

Pressure is growing on Merkel over the cooperation between the NSA and the BND, which according to media reports included spying on German companies. Merkel has denied the allegations and maintains that cooperation between the two agencies is vital for German security, though the junior member of her government coalition, the German Social Democrats (SPD), has called for the release of more information, including the thousands of search terms the NSA supposedly gave the BND in its domestic surveillance efforts.
