HOLLYWOOD, CA JUNE 8, 2014 -- Geologists hired by Millennium Partners, developers of the proposed Millennium Hollywood skyscraper project, began digging a trench to study whether an active earthquake fault runs under the property. Earlier this year, the state geologist released a draft zoning map of the Hollywood earthquake fault, which put a fault line through the property. The developers have said their previous geologic studies have shown no evidence that an active fault exists on site. (Photo by Mel Melcon/Los Angeles Times via Getty Images)
