A stable Cambodia has meant that each year since records were kept in 1993 the number of tourist to visit has grown from about 100,000 a year to over four million. The larger percentage of current visitors is from Vietnam with China coming in second place. Many officials are now admitting that the temples near Siem Reap, Cambodia, that survived 1000 plus years of being swallow by the jungle are now in peril from too many tourist walking and touching the ancient stones.
