The Portuguese Tourist Industry Prepares For Summer Visitors

The airport handled over 22 million passengers in 2016 and 94,300 tonnes of cargo in 2014. It has been nominated as Europe's Leading Airport for eight consecutive years in the World Travel Awards. Although active all year round, Portuguese tourist industry is hoping for an excellent summer season, aided by weather, prices and the country being rated as very safe for travelers.
