Valentin was deported along with his 4 brothers in Nogales, Arizona on January 27 of 2013. While on detention in Arizona, he was separated from his brothers and deported to Nogales, Mexico. His older brother Francisco, deported along with his three other brothers to Mexicali, Mexico, traveled East to Nogales to reunite himself with Valentin while the rest of their family went back to Guanajuato.
