Security was heightened during a hearing for Khaled al-Fawwaz, Adel Abdul Bary and Abu Hamza al-Masri to learn how their cases will proceed to trial. Al-Masri, the one armed Egyptian-born preacher, faces charges that he attempted to set up a terrorist training camp in Oregon and assisted in the abduction of 16 hostages, two of them American tourists, in Yemen in 1998. Both al-Fawwaz and Abdul Bary face charges that they participated in the bombings of embassies in Tanzania and Kenya in August 1998. (Photo by Spencer Platt/Getty Images)
