Abdallah, a former militiaman in the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) who has spent 28 years in French jails, was granted parole on November 21, 2012 but remained behind bars following an appeal by the state. Paris sentence enforcement court will judge on February 28, 2013 the prosecution's appeal upon the judges' rule to postpone their final decision.
