A Paris court charged on February 22, 2013 the French Iliad group, owner of Free, to pay a 25 million euro (about 33 million US dollar) fine to Bouygues Telecom for 'denigration'. The court also charged Bouygues Telecom to pay a 5 million euro (6.5 million US dollars) fine to Iliad, which lodged a complaint against Bouygues telecom for the same reason.
